Home cultivation is currently illegal in New Jersey, with one plant grown in your own home giving you 3-5 years in prison! The Home Grow Issue lays out the reality of home grow from every angle, and paints a picture of a future of full legalization that is possible, but only with your help!
NJ Activists have been working in this space for 30+ years, and home grow represents the last piece in the puzzle of statewide legalization! Their efforts have led to a bill currently on the table in Trenton, S-1758, which would allow medical patients or their caregivers the right to home cultivation!
In this issue, we examine the history of the NJ legalization movement, demonstrate its current roadblocks, and direct readers on how to make their voices heard to their state reps and state senators!
We also look to New York’s example, having legalized home grow AND traditional retail simultaneously. New Jersey unfortunately took a different approach, and New York shows us that recreational and medical home grow is possible, AND won’t kill the traditional dispensary market!
